I love the saying, that we don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly, we need a lot of people doing zero waste as best as they can.

The kitchen is a great place to start with some sustainable swaps. For example standard disposable kitchen paper towel can easily be replaced with zero waste “un paper towels”.
I bought this gorgeous set featuring a eucalyptus print from a fellow small business, and it works perfectly on one of my kitchen roll holders.

Kitchen roll (or un paper towel) holders are handmade using recycled cotton (in a choice of colours) and the hanging ring is repurposed too, making them unique and eco-friendly.
As a 37 year old mum of 3 children, I am very aware that the choices we make today, are shaping the world that we are leaving for our children, and this definitely makes me want to be even more mindful when I am making purchases, to be sure that they are sustainability made, and also that they are of a high quality, and will be long lasting home decor choices.
Everything I make uses recycled materials. All the yarn I buy is made with recycled fibres, and as previously mentioned, the wooden hanging rings are repurposed as well.
Every order from Macra-Made With Love is carefully wrapped in recycled paper and will always arrive in reused packaging, which is clearly marked as such.
The tape I use is also recyclable, so even though your packaging has been reused, you should be able to remove and recycle the tape so as not to damage the packaging, so that the envelopes and boxes can be reused again and again many more times.
I love this simple way of reducing my environmental impact.
