Handmade Macramé Candle Holders: Upcycled Glow for Your Home

Handmade Macramé Candle Holders: Upcycled Glow for Your Home

There’s something magical about candlelight – especially when it comes from something handmade and sustainable. My new macramé candle holders combine two of my favourite things: upcycling and cosy boho style.

Each holder starts life as an old glass jar, which I carefully clean, prepare, and wrap in recycled cotton cord. I finish them with a battery-operated tealight, so you can enjoy that warm glow anywhere in your home without the worry of a real flame. They look especially lovely on a windowsill, as a table centrepiece, or dotted around a shelf to bring soft ambience into the room.

I’ve created two styles to start with:

  • Terracotta (14cm x 8cm) – a bold, earthy shade that adds warmth.

  • Sand (10cm x 7cm) – a soft, neutral tone that goes with everything.

Because they’re made from upcycled jars, no two are ever exactly the same. That’s part of the charm – each one has its own little quirks and uniqueness.

As always, I wrap everything in recycled paper and send orders in reused packaging, keeping in line with my commitment to sustainability.

These candle holders make thoughtful gifts, beautiful eco-friendly wedding décor, or simply a way to add a little boho glow to your everyday space.
